“Led by a vivid Flame Scarlet, the color palette for Autumn/Winter 2017/2018 is comprised of strong classics colors complemented by a few unpredictable shades for the autumn and winter seasons,” noted Pantone. “Unexpected combinations such as Royal Lilac and Otter Brown or Lemon Curry with Bluebell are eye-arresting and create an unusual color dichotomy.”

A vivid, powerful red, this strong shade leads the way in for Fall in London.

PANTONE 12-2904 Primrose Pink

An embracing and gentle pale pink shade.

Toast brings a comforting, warmhearted presence to the autumn winter season.

Pantone Fashion Color Report for the New York City- Fall 2017

For the first time, this year Pantone has released  two seperate color reports for the New York City and London for Fall 2017. This blogpost covers the hues that are the most trendy and fashionable in the New York City, and I shall post about the hues being considered trendy in London in my next blogpost.

Color Palette for New York

“Bookended by a dynamic Grenadine red and a tawny Autumn Maple, the color palette for Fall 2017 leans more to warmth, “ states Pantone. “While comforting, enveloping colors and ease are crucial to the seasonal feeling, standout shades include a pale pink Ballet Slipper, a refreshing Golden Lime, and a bright Marina blue. These hues add a striking touch when paired with the classic autumnal shades of Navy Peony, Neutral Gray, Butterrum and Tawny Port.”

The top colors for Spring 2017 fashion are:

PANTONE 17-4123 Niagara

Comfortable and dependable, Niagara leads the PANTONE Fashion Color Report as the most prevalent color for spring 2017. Niagara is a classic denim-like blue that speaks to our desire for ease and relaxation.

PANTONE 13-0755 Primrose Yellow

By contrast, Primrose Yellow sparkles with heat and vitality. Inviting us into its instant warmth, this joyful yellow shade takes us to a destination marked by enthusiasm, good cheer and sunny days.

This year Pantone seems to have a lot of surprises in store for us. Every trend report that is being released by the company is unique in its own way. The Fall 2016 colors look astoundingly bright and different from the usual Fall hues that we happen to use every year and all colors seem to push us to cross our bounderies to bring some frolic into our lives with the forecast that has been declared as the hottest trend for Fall 2016. FALL 2016: A Unity of Strength, Confidence and Complexity

According to Leatrice Eisema, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, the desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family. Along with anchoring earth tones, exuberant pops of vibrant colors also appear throughout the collections. Transcending gender, these unexpectedly vivacious colors in our Fall 2016 palette act as playful but structured departures from your more typical fall shades.Blue skies represent constancy as they are always above us. Grays give a feeling of stability, Red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot Pinkish Purples and Spicy Mustard Yellows suggest a touch of the exotic.
