DESIGNS AND COLORS – Going Green & Close to Nature

Hi Everyone!

I sit back and think a lot of times about the essence of our being and the world we live in. In today’s busy world how many of us find time to recall the values of nature. Of course, many of us speak about being environment friendly but very few of us practice it whole heartedly.

As a designer, I feel this huge responsibility to develop things that show and make you all experience a total equilibrium between the essence of our being and the beautiful nature that has been bestowed upon us as a blessing to cherish and take care of.

This is a new age with a developed philosophy of lifestyle and home style which can be actively participative in both ecological awareness and reasonable modern technology.

Our love for simplicity and a need to return to basics can make this urge of using eco friendly products a huge success. All we require to do is recall the iridescent values of nature and make maximum use of natural products in our home/office and of course clothing.

This year’s trends focus and feature the use of natural-looking materials, colors and structures, employing natural fibers, yarns, fabrics, finishes, vegetable dyes, etc. in delicate color schemes borrowed from nature.

There is a lot that can even happen in Interior Design under this theme. Designers can work on sandy neutral color sensitivity, soft transparency of water and pearls and the shimmer of pearls and shells.

When it comes to being eco-friendly, there are ample things one can do, and sky is the limit to creativity. Nature is often as overwhelming in its variety as it is in its depth, no wonder then that the starting point can be elusive. A good place to start would be the use of organic mattresses, organic bedding and pillows, natural window coverings, organic bath products, non-toxic laundry and cleaning products, wood and bamboo flooring, woolen carpets and rugs, natural clay based paints, etc.

Let us all join hands to rediscover happiness in a space set between the real and visionary world. Let us all care for Nature!
