Heimtextil Trends – 2010-2011
Hey Folks!
What could be a more creative beginning each year if not for Heimtextil Frankfurt?
The exhibition carries a well motivated and informative incentive to release the most creative trends as a directional aid for product developers, interior decorators and designers around the world. As a textile designer, I find plenty of ideas for my work of creating stylistic energy in designs when I base most of my themes around these trends. It is all about creating a very fashionable power of expression with quality, creativity, design and sustainability. I feel it is almost like going on a world tour of creativity at its best.
The trends this year are not strikingly different from last year but apparently new in a more subtle and enhancing way, be it in design or color direction. For more insight on this year’s Heimtextil exhibition, check out this video below by Sizalchik’s Channel.
I would like to concentrate more on color and pattern trends in separate blog posts. At the moment, here are the trends declared in January 2010 for design conceptualization in 2010-2011 .
Simplicity of high quality is achieved through sustainable ecological luxury. Natural beauty, material power, the demand for quality and meaning are embellished in sophisticated organic design.
This theme focuses on creating a private sphere out of the traditional and modern. A theatrical mix of sensuousness and imagination, technological modernity and decorative classicism can be well discovered with this theme.
To transport the freshness of nature to the big city, intelligent fabrics for global well-being are created on the basis of natural prototypes.
An explosion of good humour and bright colors is created with the ingredients of spontaneity, simplicity, color and contrast to shape up this theme.
